3 very good, unusual films......
'Victoria' Link, a German film about a vivacious young lady, who has an adventure with an unruly group of young men....Probing story, great acting.
'The Girl in the Book' Link, amazing adult film about a young woman striving to be a writer, but memories of her seduction/seducing of a well known writer while in her early teens, leaves her in a perpetual quandary....Great performances, direction, etc.
'Time Out Of Mind' Link, Unusual drama about the Homeless...They live a fractured, noisy, hopeless existence.. Forever looking for a place to sleep, eat, shower, live..They fell through the cracks of our economy, by bad luck, insanity, drugs, booze....NYCity has 60,000 homeless (20,000 are children, 40,000 are families)....The first hour, I wondered what the hell was going on, if the film had a story, or was just a pastiche of noises, wandering..But the film focused in the second hour and a human story came into focus..
Richard Gere is amazing....The end brought me to real tears.
