Films 16/01/05

I saw this wonderful film this week...
'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' Link..Although its premise is hokey, it is so clever and well done that it makes us believers.  Be sure to turn on the subtitles so that you don't miss any of the thoughtful and penetrating dialog....You will laugh and cry - a lot....I loved, loved, loved, loved this film....

Another good film, not too profound, but an amazing performance...'Mr Holmes'
Link ....Ian McKellen gives an unbelievable impression of Old Age creeping up on a unusual man.....
Being 87, I never have felt aging - either body or mind...
But this film exposes the loss of the ability to remember names, of loss of past memory and the pleasure of slow careful movement...McKellen is REMARKABLE !!!! (Subtitles also, if you don't want to miss any of the dialogue)
